EBC is a place to breathe, read, think, learn and cultivate relationships. Our guests feel at home and are treated as friends. We can’t wait for our upcoming café-event: “Fall in LOVE to the sound of JAZZ” on Saturday, October 12 from 4-8pm. We welcome the new season with abundance, infusing our café menu with the full bodied flavors of fall. Our signature Italian coffees and English teas, hand-made Italian gelatos and fresh-baked English scones will be sporting all things pumpkin, and we introduce our “English meets Italian Street Food Fare” : P ane Pannelle and Cornish Pasties . (Never heard of them? Then come and discover them with us--we think they may be your new fall faves!). And on a different note :-), we are thrilled to host amazing talented local professional jazz musicians, The Matt Peterson Trio! Matt is a classical and jazz pianist and composer in the greater Chicago area.  He holds a masters in jazz studies from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Matt performs regularly as a soloist and in various groups, accompanies for the Joffrey Ballet, teaches at the Bellas Artes Schoo
