Fall in Love to the Sound of Jazz: Saturday, October 12 from 4-8pm

We can’t wait for our upcoming café-event: “Fall in LOVE to the sound of JAZZ” on Saturday, October 12 from 4-8pm. We welcome the new season with abundance, infusing our café menu with the full bodied flavors of fall. Our signature Italian coffees and English teas, hand-made Italian gelatos and fresh-baked English scones will be sporting all things pumpkin, and we introduce our “English meets Italian Street Food Fare”: Pane Pannelle and Cornish Pasties. (Never heard of them? Then come and discover them with us--we think they may be your new fall faves!).

And on a different note :-), we are thrilled to host amazing talented local professional jazz musicians, The Matt Peterson Trio! Matt is a classical and jazz pianist and composer in the greater Chicago area.  He holds a masters in jazz studies from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Matt performs regularly as a soloist and in various groups, accompanies for the Joffrey Ballet, teaches at the Bellas Artes School of Music in Glen Ellyn/Wheaton, and composes commissioned works. You can discover more about Matt and even listen to some of his music @  www.mattpetersonmusic.com

Following the great success of our open-mic night, Matt’s trio have agreed to accompany any budding jazz musicians who would like to play with a professional band. From vocals and drums to guitar and sax, whatever you’re playin’, they’ll be jammin’ with YOU. Open-mic begins at 6 (please sign up when you register at the link below and let the band know what you’ll be playing). The Matt Peterson Trio will begin their set at 6:30.

We are offering early bird special pricing if you register before October 1st. Register now and just $20 will buy you an evening of musical brilliance and all the food and drink you can swallow!  (As always, children under 12 are free.) @ www.bit.ly/ebcjazz

That’s all for now!  Many blessings to you and yours,

Vito and Rachel LoCascio,
